We will start off at our favorite meeting place and take the long round about way to the Northgate RR. Hopefu lly we can find a few twisty roads along the way?

BMWCCA Lemay Museum Tour

How's everyone been doing?

I hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th of July. Now that summer is here I trust everyone's car is being washed ever couple of days followed by a nice coat of wax every week. Right? Anyway, this weekend the Puget Sound Region chapter of the BMWCCA is putting together a tour of the LeMay Car Museum in Tacoma. Many of you probably already know about this and the official meet time is at 8:30 - 9:00am this Saturday at the Krispy Kreme in Issaquah next to our usual Starbucks meet~n~greet location.

We're proposing to meet a bit earlier at Starbucks to catch up on cars, kids, lives... whatever it is we take so much time talking about.
Here are the details for us Seattle5s and Seattle7s members:
Time: 7:30am
Date: Saturday 7/16 (this Saturday)
Location: Issaquah Starbucks off West Lake Sammamish pkwy
Event: LeMay Car Museum Tour

Here's a link to the BMWCCA's internet forum with the official details of the meet.
http://www.bmwpugetsound.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=ecd50cdd51b08e64d7b76580bf8d532c&threadid=28432

Things to point out. If you want to tour the museum, you MUST email Alan.James@comcast.net to reserve a spot for the tour. If you can't stay the whole day, just swing by for liquid energy (aka coffee) and solid circle sugar things (aka doughnuts) then you won't need to email Alan

If you've never heard of the LeMay car museum go here to check it out. http://www.lemaymuseum.org/ By the looks of things, this is something car buffs don't wouldn't want to miss out on.

Don't forget to reply to this email so I can get a rough idea of who's going and who's not... even if you can't stay for the entire event.

See you all there,

Liv2drv.net Wine Tour Rally

Good day!

The May 7th tour that we piggy backed with CCA was absolutely wonderful! We were fortunate to meet a few new members. Dave Cook from Yakima made the trip al l the over to meet the group. Other members such as Mark Baker who had to work met up with us and stayed as long as he could before he had to break off and head into the office.

It was an absolute blast with a total of 52 beautiful BMW’s cruising the twisty roads through the mountains. We should have pics up on the website in the v ery near future.

BUT for those that did not make it don’t regret. On June 11th we will be joining Dave Cook in his first Annual LIV2DRV Vineyard Rally Wine Tour. This wine t our will begin at the “Yakima Autospa” where everyone will gather to look a nd share their greatest pride (sorry gals I meant to say their second greatest pride) before we venture through the beautiful Appellation Valley. We will cruise the beautiful open roads to the furthest winery, Silver Lake Winery and from th ere we will work backwards frequenting beautiful wineries such as Maison De Pad gett Winery, Piety Flats Winery, Windy Point Winery and Sagelands Winery before we end our fantasy tour at the Apple Tree Resort Clubhouse around 4-5 PM for a n Award Winning dinning experience.

The Apple Tree Resort offers spectacular views of the surrounding valley an d if that isn’t enough you will be treated to some exquisite meals such as the ir specialty “Applewood Smoked Prime Rib”.

The event for the Seattle7s and Seattle5s will have an early start to make it in time to enjoy part of the Show and Shine. We will meet at our favorite loca l and from their venture to our destination in the clouds.

June 11, 2005
7:30 AM
Issaquah Starbucks #3315
6170 East Lake Sammamish Pkwy. SE
Issaquah, WA 98029

We will depart no later than 8:00 AM and under the wonderful leadership of Steve Larimer or Matt Atkins we will all take to I-90 through the beautiful Casca de Mountains and along the heavenly Yakima River. Which by the way will be a destination in the near future for a fly fishing trip but that is a story f or another time.

We highly recommend you bring FRS radios and a spare set of batteries. Communicating along the way is vital to make sure no one gets lost and ever yone is safe. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me via e-mail.

Due to the on going e-mail problems I seem to be experiencing you will get a “back up” e-mail from Matt Atkins. It would be great if you could respo nd to me and let me know if you will or will not be making it and who you received t he e-mail from. Matt Mar or Matt Atkins.

Thanks and I hope you can make it! Hope to hear from you soon!

May BMWCCA Drive to Winthrop - 5/7/05

I sincerely apologize for the lack of communications and activities. During the last few months it seems that we (mainly me) have been plagued with a varie ty of computer problems, viruses and difficulties. To date not all the problem s have been resolved so I am not even sure you will receive this e-mail. Henc e the reason some of you may get a duplicate copy from Matt Atkins.

Bust out the buckets and get her ready to shine because we are definitely o n for some serious driving! On May 7th we will piggy back the CCA Tour along High way 20 over to Winthrop. There we will stop for a delicious lunch and some sigh t seeing before returning back either via the North Cascades Hwy or complete the loop via Hwy 2 over Stevens Pass....The North Cascades Hwy has had a record early opening this year and assuming it doesn't close again from these spri ng snowstorms it should be even more spectacular than usual.

We will meet up together at the Starbucks in Kirkland then head over as a g roup over to the starting point of the tour. Below is the pertinent information:

May 7th
Saturday 7:45 AM
Starbucks #3224
11400 NE 124th Street
Kirkland, WA 98034

This is an early start but it will be a full day ahead of us. After we grab our cup of coffee, some chit chat and a peek at some of our latest modification s we will cruise over to the starting point for the CCA Tour. Remember we are jo ining another tour so we have to be on time or we miss all of them. We will leave the Starbucks store by 8:05 AM. Don’t be late and if you have a FRS radio the n bring it so we can communicate with each other.

Please respond to me and let me know if you can or can not make it. I need to make sure you are receiving these e-mails. As far as I know I am still receiving incoming, it is the outgoing that is sometimes not so dependable.

And as a heads up we have been invited to participate in Liv2Drive’s Firs t Annual Vineyard Rally. This wine tour will take place on June 11th through the beautiful Appellation Valley. More details on this event will be forthcoming.

Please e-mail me by replying or at mmar@seattle7s.com let me know if you received this e-mail from me or from Matt Atkins, thanks and I hope to see you there!

October 2004 Meet~n~Greet 10/23/2004

The Leavenworth Trip was fantastic! We were blessed to have good weather and though we ran into a few showers they only fell when we were safe and warm in our stallions. The photos are already on the website so go check them out. In fact thanks to a wonderful joint effort between Matt Atkins and Dave Clement our Seattle 7 website has been update with the last 7 events. These range from the September 2003 Leavenworth trip to the Tech Session at Haury’s Auto Collision and the Calgary Bimmerfest to name a few so take a look!

As the weather turns we will be winding down our tours but not before we get in another Meet-n-Greet for October so mark you calendars now!

October 23, Saturday 8:30 AM
Starbucks #3315
6170 East Lake Sammamish Pkwy S.E.
Issaquah, WA 98029

This will be a casual meet with a possible short tour and lunch before adjourning for the day so those of us with other obligations can get home to do them. I.e. last cut of the grass for the year?

Hopefully we will see you there. Please let me know that you have received this e-mail. We are still experiencing problems where not all members are receiving notification of the events.

Thanks!

Concour de Elegance Saturday 7-24-04

July 24, 2004
Concour D'Elegance
Renton, WA

Our Annual BMW PSR CCA Concour is always a lot of fun and a chance to rub shoulders with other BMW enthusiasts. The debut of the Seattle7s in 2002 marked the first time a "group" of E38's ever attended the Concour and to this day we still make that tradition. Please visit the Puget Sound chaper of BMWCCA website for details. Make sure to email Lance Richert and send payment by 7/19/04 to save $10.

DUST OFF OUR RIDES Saturday 2-21-04

Hello boys and girls!

A few of you have expressed an itch to get together for some chit chat so after some prodding we have decided to have a very casual get together at our favorite “java” hole and shoot the breeze!

So bust out the sponges and spit shine those tires! This Saturday on February 21st at 9 AM we will be meeting for coffee, good jokes and wonderful stories.

Starbucks #3315
6170 East Lake Sammamish Pkwy. NE
Issaquah, WA 98029

Nothing serious, just to touch base with each other. Drink some fabulous coffee and shoot the breeze. Weather permitting and if there is an interest possible even a short drive.

So with such short notice, consider just stopping by for coffee.

On another note I will be updating our roster. It has been 18 months since any kind of update has been made. Those of you who I have not heard from in the last 6 months risk the chance of being dropped from the roster. With our growing membership it is becoming more difficult and time consuming to send out event notices. For members who do not attend or do not at the very least respond to an e-mail notice of an event I have no idea if you are still interested in remaining on the distribution list. A small handful of you have yet to make an event and that is not a problem. Just let me know if you want to remain on the distribution list so the one day you are free and an event comes up you will be aware of it and can attend.

Please respond to this e-mail if you will or will not be able to attend this Saturday. A response of any kind will indicate to me you would like to remain as a member and on the distribution list.

Thanks and I hope to see all of you this Saturday or at the very least hear from you!

FIRST OFFICIAL Seattle5s MEET: Saturday 11-15-03

In conjunction with the Seattle7s the first official Seattle5s meet will be held at Starbucks headquarters in Seattle. The details are as follows:

We will be hosting a meet at the Starbucks Coffee Company Headquarters with the Seattle7s. With weather so unpredictable we can park our cars in the garage out of any rain and still enjoy our latest modifications. We will have access to all of the coffee, mochas and lattes we want and give any interested party a crash course on making espresso drinks! Once we are pumped on the caffeine we will retire to our largest conference room where we will watch a car movie, hopefully with lots of fast driving! We have 2 large drop down screens and several flat screen monitors attached from the ceiling. I will bring the popcorn! However due to security protocol I will need to have RSVPs so I can arrange badges into the building. Without a pre-assigned badge you will not be allowed access so please RSVP mmar@seattle7s.com. There are no exceptions to his rule. If weather is good we have the option of going for a drive.

November 15, 2003
Saturday, 9:00 AM
Starbucks Coffee Company
2401 Utah Ave South
Seattle, WA 98134

Meet in the front lot. Garage access will require badge access. Once in the garage I must ask that all cars stay under the posted speed limit. Anyone spinning tires will be required to leave immediately. I apologize for the harsh ruling but please understand this is my place of employment. We have constant security monitoring by our own security and by Washington State Patrol.

Please respond so that I know you A) received this e-mail and B) I know what your intentions will be concerning this meet. It allows me to plan. I hope to hear from you soon!
